Out of Wash Credit

A notice appears in the corner headed Out of Wash Credit, and whatever you were doing did not happen:

That didn't go through — this business has run out of Wash Credit. Add credit in Settings → Billing & usage to carry on.

The form you were on says nothing extra. That notice is the whole explanation, and pressing the button again will not change it.

What stops

Starting new metered work, in all six areas, at every outlet. Wash Credit is pooled across the business — one count, every outlet spending from it — so an empty balance is never one outlet's problem to solve.

In practice that is creating an order, adding a line item, moving a status, recording a payment, editing a customer, adding a driver, loading a machine, changing a price, inviting a teammate. Each is refused before anything is written, so nothing lands half-done and there is nothing queued to clean up afterwards.

What does not stop

Reading. Every screen, every order you already have, every report. Signing in. Funding the balance. Accepting an invitation, too — somebody joining your team is never held up by the business's balance, which matters on the day you are adding the person who was meant to help.

Anything already queued on a device also carries on. It was accepted when the work was started, so it sends and is charged even though the balance is empty, overdrawing it if it must. The alternative would be discarding laundry that has physically been washed. See A change did not save.

Who can put it back

The owner, in Settings → Billing & usage. Nobody else sees the balance and nobody else can fund it, so if you are on the counter when this appears, the fix is a message to the owner rather than a setting on your screen. Tell them which outlet you are at and what you were trying to do; the balance is shared, so the number they see already accounts for every other outlet.
