Earnings
Wash Junkie keeps a running record of what each driver has earned. It does not pay them, and it never claims to have.
What writes a line
One thing writes a line, and only that thing: a delivery is marked done while the driver was still holding it. The line records the driver, the order, the amount, the pay mode it was worked out under, and the moment it happened. It is never edited afterwards.
Three situations record nothing at all, because the amount comes to zero:
- a driver on Monthly salary, whose pay does not depend on deliveries
- a driver on Flat fee per delivery with no rate set
- a driver on % of the delivery fee delivering an order that carried no delivery fee
That is not an error, and no line is a better record than a line worth nothing. Set the rate — see Pay modes — and the next delivery records properly. The ones already done stay as they were.
Removing an order from the books takes its earnings out of every figure. Money against work you have struck off is not owed, and restoring the order brings the earnings back with it.
The figure on the driver's panel
Earnings (this month) sits in the driver's panel and in the Earnings column of the list view. It is built one of two ways:

Which means the second kind starts again at zero when the month turns, and the first kind never moves. Beside it is the rate label, so you can always see the figure and the rule that produced it together.
For a window you choose rather than the current month, the driver report gives the same amounts next to deliveries, average delivery time, and on-time for those orders that carried a promised time. A salaried driver's earnings read zero there — nothing accrued, and the report will not invent it.
There is no payout
This is worth saying plainly, because operators look for the button.
There is no payout, no settlement run, no pay period to close, no payslip, and nothing anywhere that marks earnings as paid. Earnings accrue and go on accruing. When you pay Marco Silva, you pay him however you already pay people — the figures here are what you pay him from, not a payment.
