Adding a driver
A driver is a record at one outlet: a name, a way to reach them, the vehicle they turn up on, and a status that says whether they can take work right now.
The record
Add driver opens a short form. The name is the only thing you must fill in — Marco Silva is a complete driver. Phone, the vehicle model and its number plate are optional.
A new driver is created available, meaning on shift and ready to be given an order. If you are setting somebody up before their first day, clock them out once you have saved them.
The driver belongs to the outlet you were signed in to when you added them. Fresh Fold Laundry's Mill Street drivers do not appear on another outlet's board, and there is no pool shared between outlets.
Pay is not part of this form. Every driver starts on the flat per-delivery mode with no rate against it, which reads Not set until you set one — see Pay modes.
The four statuses

Clock in puts a driver at available. Clock out puts them at off duty. Mark unavailable is the third thing, and it is not either of those: it leaves the driver on shift but stops the board offering them for new work, which is the honest answer for a lunch break or a hospital run. Mark available brings them back.
You never set on delivery yourself. It is what assigning an order does, and Wash Junkie takes it back off them when the round is finished. Statuses, delivery counts and delivery times are owned by what happens on the road, not by editing.
Reading the board
The five tabs across the top — All, On delivery, Available, Unavailable, Off duty — each carry a count, and the line under the heading counts the ones on delivery, available and off duty, plus how many orders are waiting for anybody at all. Board shows a card each; List shows a row each with the current order and this month's earnings.
Two of the numbers on a card are real and two are not yet. Deliveries rises by one every time a delivery is marked done, and avg time is the true duration from the moment the order was assigned to the moment it was delivered. On-time and the star rating show a dash, because nothing ever writes either of them onto the driver's record — an invented 98% would be worse than an honest blank.
Adding a driver, and every button on their card, needs permission to change drivers. Staff who can only read the screen see the board and no controls.
