What the words mean

Six words do most of the work. Getting them straight makes the rest of the manual shorter.

WordWhat it is
BusinessYour brand. It holds your country, currency, tax rules, pricing rules, roles and your Wash Credit balance.
OutletA place customers deal with you. Its own address, opening hours, timezone and currency. A business can have as many as it likes.
Wash HouseWhere the work happens, and where your machines live. It can share an address with an outlet or stand on its own.
OrderOne job for one customer, moving through your statuses over hours or days. Everything else hangs off it.
StatusWhere an order is. Yours to name — see Moving an order through its statuses.
ChannelHow the order reached you. Walk-in, Web, App, or one you add.

Two that catch people out

A customer belongs to your business, not to Wash Junkie. Their record, their history and their phone number are yours. Two businesses on the platform serving the same person hold two separate records.

Staff membership is per outlet. Somebody is a Cashier at one branch, not a Cashier everywhere. Giving them a second outlet is a deliberate act.
