The customer directory

Everybody who has handed you a bag is in here — typed in at the counter, or created alongside their first order. This is how you find one of them, and how you add one before they arrive.

Finding somebody

The search box matches on name, email, phone number and city at once, so half a surname or the last few digits of a number is enough.

Above it sit seven tabs, each carrying its own count: All, VIP, Regular, New, At risk, Churned, and With balance. The five in the middle are the tiers, which Wash Junkie works out for you — see Tiers and churn risk.

Below the search box are the filter chips. Each one is single-select, and each option carries how many customers it would leave you with:

ChipWhat it narrows by
Last orderLast 7, 30 or 90 days, over 90 days ago, or never ordered
OrdersNone yet, one, 2–4, 5–9, or 10 or more
SpendTop 10%, top 25%, top half, bottom half, or nothing yet
BalanceOwes money, or fully settled
Churn riskHigh (67+), medium (34–66), low (0–33)
CityThe cities read off the addresses you hold
JoinedLast 7, 30 or 90 days, or over a year ago

The spend bands are percentiles of your own book rather than fixed amounts — "top 10%" means the top tenth of the people you actually have, which means the same thing whatever currency you take. An option that would leave you with nobody is not offered at all. Once anything is on, a line above the table reads "Showing 12 of 240 customers".

Reading the table

A row gives you the customer's name with their email or phone beneath it, their tier, how many orders they have placed and how many that is per month, their lifetime spend, their average order, when they last ordered, their churn risk, and the date you took them on. Anything they still owe sits in amber under the lifetime figure. Click a row to open the record.

Every column except tier sorts — click the header once for descending, again for ascending. The list opens on the most recently added, twenty-five to a page.

Export CSV downloads exactly what you are looking at, filters and all, in fourteen columns. Segments swaps the table for a card per tier showing its count, its revenue and its average lifetime value; click a card and it opens as the table filtered to that tier.

Adding one by hand

Add customer takes four fields. Name and phone number are required — at least two characters in the name and five in the number before the button will accept them. Email and address are optional, and both are worth having: the email is what makes a payment reminder possible later, and the address prefills their next order.

The customer appears in the list the moment you press the button, even with no network. It sends itself when the signal comes back, and a replay cannot create them twice.
