Ways to sign in
Three doors on the sign-in screen. They open onto the same account and the same next step, so pick the one that suits the counter you are standing at.
The three doors

Every one of them is anchored to an email address, and that address is the account. Continuing with Google on a business that was set up with a password does not create a second Maya Reyes: the match is made on the email address, so it is one person, one history, however they got in today.
What happens next is the same
Whichever door you came through, the order of events after it is fixed.
If two-factor is on, the code screen comes first and no session exists until the code is right — see Two-factor. Then outlets: if you can reach exactly one, you land on the dashboard with it already chosen; if you can reach several, you pick one, as Fresh Fold Laundry does between Mill Street and the rest.
Keep me signed in is ticked when the screen loads. Ticked, the device stays signed in for 30 days, and every day you use it pushes that out again. Unticked, the device is signed in for 24 hours. The emailed link
Press the Magic link tab, type the address, press Send sign-in link. The link works once, and for 15 minutes.
Ask for a second link inside a minute of the first and nothing new is sent. The one already sitting in the inbox still works, and sending another would have killed it — that is the point of the wait, and it is also what stops the button being used to bury somebody in email.
The screen says "Check your inbox" for any address you type, including one that has never had an account. Wash Junkie will not tell a stranger which of your staff have accounts.
If you have no password yet
An account created by continuing with Google has no password at all. Nothing is broken — Google is the credential. If you want a password as well, use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and set one; Continue with Google keeps working afterwards. See If you forget your password.
Google also has to have verified the address itself. If it has not, sign-in stops and says so, and the fix is with Google rather than here.
